01 Nov Preparation is everything, here are some tips
Cover items of furniture and mask floors, windows and areas that will not be painted, prior to work commencing.
Any accumulation of dirt, dust or grease needs to be removed by washing or dusting. Loose or flaking paint needs to be removed by scraping or sanding.
Bare surfaces and water effected areas should be sealed and primed. Surface cracks and holes require filling.
Application requires a two-coat system on all previously painted surfaces. Any surface that is bare, new, metal or plastered requires three coats, including sealer / undercoat.
Woodwork requires an oil- based undercoat and a final coat is then applied in a sheen of your choice, satin or gloss.
